Personal data protection policy

At the Slovenian Logistic Association (hereinafter SLA) we respect your privacy and are aware of the responsibility associated with handling the personal data of our members, supporters, participants, visitors to the SLA website, and all individuals who disclose their personal date upon contacting us (hereinafter "users"). This is why on our website www.slz.si we take all measures to ensure the protection and ethical handling of your personal data as stated below and in compliance with the relevant versions of the Personal Data Protection Act, the Electronic Communications Act and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR.

What Data is Collected

  • Basic contact information: name, surname, company, e-mail address;
  • Upon membership in the SLA also: home address, phone/mobile umber, business address, your position in the company, year of birth; 
  • Data necessary for issuing invoices (address, tax ID number);
  • Data about the use of our website (clicks on links, time spent) and data regarding responses to our email messages (whether the message was opened, which links were clicking on).


Lawful Basis for the Processing of Personal Data

We may process your personal data on the following lawful bases: 

  • When it is necessary to fulfil our legal obligations (e.g., issuing invoices for ordered services);
  • When you have given your consent for the processing of your data for a specific processing purpose, and you always have the right to cancel your consent;
  • when we have a legitimate interest in processing your personal data. 


The Purpose of Collecting and Processing Personal Data

SLA use your personal data only for the work, activities and initiatives of SLA, which are necessary to enforce rights, fulfilment of obligations, utilization of benefits, and participation in activities and initiatives to which SLA members or other interested public are entitled. In particular, these concerns: 

  • informing about events,
  • receiving SLA newsletters,
  • providing useful information,
  • informing about member’s benefits,
  • any information necessary for the functioning of the SLA and the awareness of its members or other interested public,
  • ensuring the best possible user experience.


How Long We Storage your Personal Data and What Happens With Them After That 

We store your basic personal data as long as you are a member of the Slovenian Logistics Association, are a subscriber to our newsletters, have registered for our events or applied on tender.

Personal data processed based on your consent are stored permanently or until you cancel your consent.

Data on issued invoices are kept for 10 years from the date of issue.

Data necessary for the conclusion and fulfilment of a contract between you and us are kept for another 5 years after the fulfilment of the contract (the service provided).

After the retention period expires, we effectively delete or anonymize personal data, which means we process it in such a way that it can no longer be associated with or attributed to you.

 

Who Has Access To your Personal Data 

In the SLA, we will not transfer personal data to third parties except to contractual partners (contract processors) (e.g., accounting and IT services with whom we have a contract, contractual partners with whom we collaborate in organizing events and who provide at least the same level of personal data security as the SLA), if it is necessary for the realization of the above-stated purposes.

Contract processors may only process personal data within the scope of our instructions and must not process the data for their purposes. They and their employees are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your personal data.


Your Rights Concerning Personal Data, How To Cancel Consent For Processing, And The Consequences Of Cancel

Consent to the processing of personal data can be fully or partially cancelled at any time with a written statement addressed to the email address info@slz.si. The SLA will cease processing personal data based solely on consent no later than 15 (fifteen) days after receiving the cancellation.

Requests for access to personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data transfer, or objection to processing can be addressed at any time to the email address info@slz.si, which is also the contact of the SLA as the data controller.

Complaints against the data controller's decision on an individual's request, to whom the personal data pertains, can be filed with the SLA Supervisory Board.
