7.3.2025
We will uncover real stories, concrete solutions and best practices that are transforming supply chains today.
Every supply chain has its own story. Sometimes it is a story of overcoming global barriers, other times of game-changing innovations. But they all have one thing in common - if you don't make progress, you get left behind. At Logistics Congress 2025, we will work together to find answers to the industry's biggest challenges, from geopolitical shifts to digital transformation and a green future.
Logistics is not just moving goods from A to B. It is the backbone of the economy, but it needs transformation.
And while the world is rocked by trade wars, climate change and talent shortages, companies that think strategically are not waiting for solutions. They are creating them. How? With the right combination of technology, innovation and vision.
At Logistics Congress 2025, we will show what it means to operate sustainably, efficiently and innovatively through top international examples and in-depth discussions.
Prof. Dr. Thomas Wimmer will take us on a journey through the power of the European logistics network in his lecture "MEGA (My EU Great Again)". We often hear about problems, from customs wars to regulatory challenges, but Wimmer points out that Europe already has everything it needs to succeed: exceptional skills, advanced research and top professionals. The only question is, will we be able to make the most of it?
Once again, Dr. Nick Vyas, one of the most sought-after consultants in logistics, who also advises US governments, is coming to Slovenia for the Logistics Congress 2025. The right man to explain what lies ahead in the Trump 2.0 era. With his broad and analytical view of supply chains, he will reveal how the logistics dynamics between the US, the EU and the rest of the world could change and how sustainable the future will be if the geopolitical rules are turned upside down.
Real-time data has become the key to competitive advantage - companies with insight into the entire supply chain can make faster decisions, reduce risks and optimise costs. But this is where the challenge arises: how to ensure full transparency in a network of suppliers, partners and transport routes where data is often dispersed and disconnected?
At the Congress we will hear from the winner of the ELA Awards 2024, La Poste, the French Post Office, which has achieved full traceability and complete optimisation of its supply chain by setting up a so-called control tower. How can similar models improve your business?
But digitisation is not just about traceability.
Company Talum has transformed its yard logistics in the Kidričevo Industrial Zone by implementing the Aura modular platform. Automated entry-exit points, digital documentation and smart weighing have reduced costs, increased efficiency and enabled better visibility.
The AI team leader, Božidara Cvetković, (BE-terna), will present how at Gavrilović, the digital twin and artificial intelligence ALISA AI is not just a futuristic concept, but is already enabling a smart and scalable manufacturing solution that improves decision-making, optimises workflows and drives continuous process improvement.
Żabka, Poland's largest corner shop chain, supplying 3,500 stores, has gone one step further by building one of the most advanced logistics centres in Europe, with 60,000 m2 of space in Radzymin near Warsaw. Their automated high-bay warehousing system is energy efficient and has fully digitised supply flows. Jakub Kloczko, Director of the Logistics Centre and Automation Development, was awarded by the audience for the most inspiring presentation of the project.
These are not all theories or just stories about technology - these are practical solutions that are already working in practice and changing the way we work.
How to combine efficiency and sustainability? This is a question not only for regulators, but also for customers, investors and business leaders.
Dr. Nicole Mau will reveal why ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) is no longer just a marketing gimmick, but a key tool for competitive advantage. She will show how companies that consistently implement sustainable solutions not only reduce costs, but also enhance their reputation and avoid regulatory risks.
In Antwerp, they have already shown that collaboration can combine sustainability and efficiency: the CULT project, Collaborative Urban Logistics, brings a delivery consolidation model that reduces traffic congestion and increases the fluidity of the city centre.
We talk a lot about cooperation at the Logistics Congress. And we will continue to do so. Because we believe in the power of collaboration and integration.
For the first time in history, delivery in Hamburg will be completely emission-free, saving up to 1,400 tonnes of CO₂ per year. Hermes Germany is involved in the story, having successfully electrified the entire logistics operation in the metropolis of one million people. Proof that sustainable delivery is also possible in big cities. How did they achieve this and what can we learn from this for our own sustainability strategies? We will be looking for answers at Logistics Congress 2025.
For decades, Slovenian companies have recruited from traditional labour pools, from Slovenia and the Balkans. Today, we are facing a hollowing out of these pools, which for many is a serious obstacle to growth and development. But is the problem really just a shortage of staff, or is there a wider challenge of adapting work processes?
Company BTC will present how to successfully integrate third-country workers, not only to fill the gaps but also to create a new, inclusive work culture that brings long-term stability.
This is not just BTC's story - it is a reality that every company will have to master if it wants to remain competitive.
It is no longer a question of whether the world will change. It is a question of whether you will be part of that change.
And Portorož, together with the Logistics Congress 2025, from 2 to 4 April, is the place where we decide which direction we are going to go.
