Digitalised. Automated. Connected.

10.9.2024

Robert Biček, moderator of Keep IT Simple 2024, on this year's main theme – automation and digitalisation.

Slovenia is the third most industrialised country in Europe, with industry accounting for around 24 % of its gross domestic product (GDP). This places Slovenia just behind the Czech Republic, where industry exceeds 30 %, and Germany, with 27 %.

Slovenia also ranks high in terms of robotisation, holding the 11th position globally with 284 robots per 10,000 employees, just behind the USA (285). Other countries ahead include Switzerland (296) and Germany (415), while Singapore (730) and South Korea (1,012) are leading by a significant margin.

Like most developed countries, Slovenia faces a shortage of labour, particularly in manufacturing and supply chains. With this year's 8th Keep IT Simple 2024 conference, we are addressing both of these issues. Automation and digitalisation of supply processes not only reduce the need for labour but also increase the reliability and accuracy of supply chains. They also reduce the need for capital that would otherwise be tied up in inventories and for storage and handling space.

Automated and digitalised supply can therefore significantly improve operational efficiency. At the conference, we have prepared a number of innovative and practical solutions in the field of automation and digitalisation that you will be able to experience first-hand, presented by those who have developed and implemented them in practice.

We believe that the solutions presented will help you tackle your own logistics challenges and inspire new ideas for further development and improved business efficiency.

See you on 3rd October in Bled!
