Logistics Congress 2026 Expands Its International Reach with New Formats
From 8 to 10 April 2026, Portorož will once again host Logistics Congress 2026 — the region’s leading logistics event — bringing together logistics, transport, technology, research and talent development.
This year’s edition places an even stronger emphasis on international exchange, with the return of TelematicsCEEurope, a new International Academic Symposium and an international hackathon.
At a time when supply chains are being reshaped by geopolitical shifts, cost pressures, labour shortages and rapid technological change, logistics needs more than speed. It needs stronger connections, greater resilience and better decisions. That is the context in which the 13th International Logistics Congress – Supply Chains in Science and Practice will take place this year: as a meeting point for expertise, technology, knowledge and new business opportunities.
Supply chains are changing. Logistics must move beyond efficiency alone.
Logistics is operating under more pressure than ever. Supply chains are shifting fast, often unpredictably, while companies face mounting cost pressures, a shortage of skilled people and an accelerating pace of technological development.
In that kind of environment, faster processes alone are no longer enough. What matters just as much is the ability to connect better, adapt faster and turn good ideas into operational reality. This remains one of the core ambitions of Logistics Congress 2026.
From 8 to 10 April 2026, we will once again bring the logistics community together in Portorož, with more than 800 participants from 25 countries expected. This year, we are reinforcing the congress’s international dimension with several new content formats.
A broader perspective, a stronger international profile
One of the most notable additions to this year’s edition is the return of the TelematicsCEEurope conference & expo. After several years, it comes back for the first time under the umbrella of the Slovenian Logistics Association and as a specialised international event within the congress itself.
At the same time, the congress is broadening its scope with a new International Academic Symposium and an international student hackathon.
Together, these formats reinforce the role of Logistics Congress as a space where industry, technology, research, knowledge and future talent come together. Not as separate conversations, but as part of one wider dialogue about how logistics can become more connected, more intelligent and more competitive.
Data, digitalisation and telematics are now central to competitiveness
The inclusion of TelematicsCEEurope is more than a programme update. It reflects a much bigger shift in the industry.
Smart vehicle management, connectivity, data visibility and telematics solutions are no longer niche topics. They are becoming central to the way modern logistics operates. Digitalisation and data-driven decision-making are increasingly the basis for faster, more reliable and more informed business decisions.
That is why this year’s congress will place even greater emphasis on content that goes beyond trend-watching and focuses on practical implementation in real business environments.
A programme built around real practice
As in previous years, the programme will be rooted in concrete best-practice cases and strategic discussion on the future of supply chains.
The congress will open with the plenary session The Future of Logistics, followed by key programme segments focused on artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and successful regional logistics stories.
A special place in the programme will also be given to the Artificial Intelligence Festival, where companies will present practical examples of AI in use — from logistics flow optimisation and production planning to master data management, demand forecasting and intelligent decision-making across the supply chain.
The plenary session IoT in Industry and Logistics will spotlight companies that have already translated technological modernisation into measurable results. Meanwhile, We Have Succeeded. How Did We Achieve This? will bring together concrete regional stories of growth, development and adaptation in demanding market conditions.
The common thread is clear: digital transformation is not about introducing a single tool. It is about aligning technology, processes and people in a way that delivers real results.
Looking ahead: research, knowledge and the next generation
Another important part of this year’s congress is its forward-looking perspective.
The new International Academic Symposium will focus on artificial intelligence, competitiveness, innovation and supply chain resilience, while strengthening the connection between research and practice.
Alongside it, the international hackathon will bring together students from different academic backgrounds in interdisciplinary teams to solve real-world challenges.
This matters not only for the profession itself, but for business as well. The future of logistics will not depend on technology alone. It will also depend on how successfully the sector brings in and develops the next generation of talent.
Portorož as a meeting point for the logistics community
This year again, Logistics Congress will bring together logistics and transport operators, manufacturing and retail companies, technology providers, researchers and young talent in one place.
B2B networking will also be given additional focus, supported by a digital platform and organised meetings designed to help strong content translate into concrete partnerships and new business opportunities.
Registration is still open. More information is available on the Logistics Congress website.
